Kwaku Bonsam calls for immediate shutdown of TV stations promoting money doubling
Renowned traditional priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has called on the Minister of Communications, Digitalisation and Innovations Samuel Nartey George, to immediately shut down television stations that promote money-doubling schemes.
In an interview with Chief Jerry Forson on the Ghana Yensom morning show on Accra 100.5 FM on Wednesday, Nana Kwaku Bonsam described money doubling as pure extortion and a criminal offence.
He accused the government of turning a blind eye to these fraudulent activities on televison while focusing on minor cases.
“There is no money doubling in this world,” he stressed, adding that television stations taking advantage of vulnerable Ghanaians must be punished by the law.
The outspoken fetish priest warned that if proactive steps are not taken to close down these stations, he will embark on a one-man demonstration against the sector Minister.
“If Sam George does not shut down these television stations, I will embark on a one-man demonstration against him,” he declared.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam argues that the spread of dubious money-doubling advertisements on television is worrying, as it preys on desperate citizens.
