Mahama assents to 10 Bills, giving legal effect to new governance and economic measures
President John Dramani Mahama has assented to 10 Bills, formally giving them legal effect as part of efforts to strengthen governance, public administration, national security and economic management.
The Bills are:
1. Customs Bill, 2026
2. Community Service Bill, 2026
3. Tribunal Bills, 2026
4. Maritime and Related Offences Bill, 2026
5. National Defence University Bill, 2026
6. Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026
7. Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Bill, 2026
8. Ghana Cocoa Board Bill, 2026
9. Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026
10. Excise Bill, 2026
The enactments form part of the government's broader legislative agenda to modernise key sectors, improve public administration and strengthen Ghana's economic and institutional framework.
