The Minerals Commission has warned the public against individuals and unauthorised entities allegedly offering jobs or promising to facilitate recruitment in exchange for money.

In a statement, the Commission said it has not contracted any individual, agent or group to recruit on its behalf.

It also stressed that recruitment into the public service is free and that it does not demand any payment, down payment or facilitation fee in exchange for employment.

The Commission said all official recruitment opportunities, when available, are advertised through the national dailies, its official website, verified social media platforms and news portals.

It therefore urged prospective applicants to rely only on those official channels and warned them against dealing with private agents claiming to recruit on its behalf.

Anyone approached with such offers has been encouraged to report the matter to the nearest law enforcement agency or through the Commission’s official contact channels.

The Minerals Commission said it remains committed to transparency and integrity in its operations.
