The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced that the official fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage remains GH¢60,000, unchanged from the 2026 Hajj fare.

In a press release, PAOG said all payments must be made through approved channels only — either through accredited Hajj agents using the official PAOG payment code, or through direct payment to PAOG via its official GCB Bank accounts.

The organisation said it will not be responsible for any payments made outside these approved channels.

Collection of payments for Hajj 2027 begins with immediate effect. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once Ghana's allocated quota is exhausted.

Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, Chairman of PAOG/Ghana Hajj Board, has advised all intending pilgrims to complete their payments and submit all required documentation early to avoid last-minute difficulties.

PAOG cautioned the public to desist from transacting business with unaccredited agents or intermediaries, saying this is to protect prospective pilgrims from fraud.

The organisation said it remains committed to ensuring a safe, transparent, and successful Hajj for all Ghanaian pilgrims, and to building on the gains made during Hajj 2026.
