The Supreme Court has dismissed an interlocutory injunction application filed by former Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) Chief Executive Officer, Solomon Asamoah, seeking to halt proceedings against him at the Accra High Court.

The apex court described the application as lacking merit and declined to grant the reliefs being sought by Mr Asamoah.

The Supreme Court also held that the trial judge did not err in varying the former GIIF CEO’s bail conditions.

Mr Asamoah had gone before the apex court seeking an order to stay proceedings at the High Court while challenging aspects of the trial court’s handling of his case.

However, the Supreme Court has ruled against the application, clearing the way for proceedings at the Accra High Court to continue.

The ruling also settles the challenge to the High Court’s decision to vary the bail conditions imposed on Mr Asamoah.
