Dome -Kwabenya MP showcases impactful first year
The Member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Elikplim Akurugu, has outlined her achievements after completing one year in office, highlighting key interventions in youth development, education, and infrastructure, as she says she has supported some youth to go to Turkey to pursue a professional career.
As part of her commitment to transparency and accountability, she hosted a “State of the Constituency” address to update residents on developmental progress within the constituency.
On education, she reported providing financial assistance to approximately 200 Junior High School students, along with the distribution of about 1,400 mathematical sets to enhance learning.
Under the “Light Up DKC” initiative, around 400 streetlights have been installed to improve visibility and security across communities.
She also highlighted ongoing road construction projects aimed at improving transportation and accessibility within the constituency.
Following the address, several constituents shared their views, offering feedback on the progress made and the overall state of development in the constituency under her leadership.
