Ketu North MP awards scholarships to 400 students
The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Edem Agbana, has awarded scholarships to 400 students, emphasising the importance of excellence and service.
The initiative, now in its second year, aims to support students from humble backgrounds to pursue higher education.
The Member of Parliament for Ketu North said that 400 students are benefiting from the scholarship, with 283 males and 117 females. 105 students are pursuing education studies, while 35 ladies are studying STEM courses with 100% scholarship support.
The MP has dedicated 50% of his salary to the initiative and is seeking support from others.
A beneficiary, Mr. Touissant Afandolo designed a technology solution and received a 100% scholarship and a laptop.
Agbana stated, "Excellence is a requirement, service is expected, and humility is non-negotiable." He encouraged students to work hard and give back to their community.
The scholarship program has supported 421 students since its inception, with plans to expand and provide career guidance to students.
