Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kofi Sarpong has called on Muslim youth to reflect on the spiritual significance of the just-ended 30-day fasting period and live in accordance with the teachings of the Quran.

Speaking on the final day of activities marking the Eid ul-Fitr celebrations, the law enforcement figure and music star expressed concern over the behavior of some young people who, after the fasting period, tend to lose control, particularly by riding motorbikes recklessly.

He urged them to celebrate in moderation and remain mindful of the prayers and supplications offered during the holy month, emphasising the need to uphold discipline even after the festivities.

While addressing the Muslim community, ACP Sarpong also extended his message to Christians, whose Easter celebrations are approaching. He encouraged them to emulate the peaceful conduct demonstrated by Muslims during Eid, which recorded no incidents of violence.

The Gospel singer further called for unity and togetherness among all citizens, stressing that peaceful coexistence is essential for building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
