Assemblies of God to hold Thanksgiving for new Comptroller-General
The General Superintendent and Head of the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Immigration Service, will hold a special Thanksgiving Service in honour of the newly appointed Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mr. Samuel Basintale Amadu.
The service is being organised to celebrate Mr. Amadu’s appointment as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service and to offer prayers of gratitude and guidance as he assumes office.
The Thanksgiving ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the United Assemblies of God Church, Achimota Mile 7, at 1:00 PM.
The event is expected to bring together church leaders, security officials, family, friends and well-wishers to mark the occasion and seek divine direction for the new leadership of the Immigration Service.
Mr. Amadu’s appointment has been welcomed by stakeholders within the security and faith communities, who view the thanksgiving service as both a spiritual and symbolic moment in his assumption of office.
