‘Medical Kalabulle’ report to be submitted to Health Minister today
A report on the alleged “Medical Kalabulle” activities within Ghana’s healthcare system is expected to be formally presented to the Ministry of Health
The document, compiled following investigations into reported irregularities in the health sector, will be submitted to the Minister for Health as part of efforts to address concerns about unethical practices affecting the delivery of medical services.
The term “Medical Kalabulle” has been widely used to describe alleged corrupt practices within parts of the healthcare system, including irregularities in the procurement and distribution of medicines and medical supplies.
Officials say the report is expected to outline key findings from the investigation and propose recommendations aimed at strengthening transparency, improving accountability and restoring public confidence in the health sector.
Authorities are expected to review the document and determine the next steps, including possible policy reforms and actions to address the issues raised in the report.
