Ghana, Barbados partners to recruit allied health professionals

The Ministry of Health Ghana has announced a recruitment drive for qualified allied health professionals to take up positions in Barbados under a bilateral arrangement with the Government of Barbados.

The initiative seeks to engage experienced Ghanaian professionals for a range of specialised roles, including Cardiac Perfusionists, Electrocardiograph (ECG) Technicians, Perfusionists, Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologists, Physicists, Audiologists, Diagnostic Radiographers, Occupational Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists.

According to the Ministry, applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Allied Health Professions Council and possess a minimum of five years’ working experience.

Prospective candidates are required to submit a comprehensive set of documents, including academic certificates, proof of good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council, appointment letters, a police clearance certificate from the Ghana Police Service, immunisation records, birth certificates, curriculum vitae, reference letters, and valid passport details, among others.

The application window opens on Friday, April 10, 2026, and closes on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Interested applicants are expected to apply through the Ministry’s official recruitment portal.

The Ministry further indicated that shortlisted candidates will be required to present certified copies of their credentials on the day of their scheduled interviews, adding that incomplete or unsuitable applications will not be considered.

 

The recruitment forms part of ongoing cooperation between Ghana and Barbados aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery through skills exchange and international placement opportunities.
