The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has donated detention beds to the Tanoanaafo  CHPS Compound in response to an urgent request from health authorities and traditional leaders in the area.

The presentation, which took place on March 29, 2026, forms part of ongoing efforts by the MP to improve healthcare delivery across the constituency.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Korsah acknowledged that many health facilities within the constituency continue to face a shortage of hospital beds.

He noted that frequent appeals from traditional leaders and health facility managers prompted him to mobilise resources to procure new beds for distribution to facilities in need.

The MP disclosed that the exercise began in February 2026 with a similar donation to the KUTABOM Health Centre and indicated that additional facilities—including those in Baamiri, Asantanso, Traa, Mateso, and Asutia—are expected to benefit in the coming days.

Mr. Korsah emphasised the importance of the Tanoanaafo CHPS Compound in delivering primary healthcare services to the community and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting its expansion and operations.

Receiving the items on behalf of the community, Kusi Fosu-Hene, Medical Director for Techiman, expressed gratitude to the MP, describing the intervention as timely given the widespread shortage of beds in health facilities across the country.

The Odikro of Tanoanaafo, Nana Boakye Ansah, also commended the MP for his continued support for the area.

He highlighted ongoing development projects, including the construction of a three-unit classroom block and a mechanised borehole to improve access to potable water.

The donation is expected to ease pressure on the facility and enhance patient care, particularly in addressing the growing demand for healthcare services in the community.
