Bawumia meets Minority Caucus to strengthen party strategy
The 2028 presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (New Patriotic Party), Mahamudu Bawumia, has met with the party’s Minority Caucus in Parliament to map out a strategic direction for the party and its broader national agenda.
The meeting focused on strengthening internal cohesion, sharpening the party’s opposition strategy, and positioning the NPP as a credible alternative government.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the engagement is part of efforts to rebuild public confidence in the party while enhancing its oversight role in Parliament.
He stressed that unity and evidence-based leadership would guide the caucus’s conduct both inside and outside the House, as the party prepares for future political contests.
The NPP flagbearer further noted that the party’s focus would remain on holding government accountable while offering practical policy alternatives to address national challenges.
He emphasised that the ultimate measure of political success would depend on the party’s ability to present solutions that resonate with Ghanaians and improve living conditions.
