Bryan Acheampong to address media ahead of NPP presidential primary
Bryan Acheampong, one of the aspirants seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as its flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, is scheduled to address the media today ahead of the party’s presidential primary on Saturday.
The media engagement, themed “Renewing the Spirit of the NPP: Grassroots, Unity, and Victory Ahead,” is expected to outline Mr. Acheampong’s vision for revitalising the party and strengthening its electoral fortunes.
The event will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Party faithful, political observers, and members of the media are expected to attend the engagement, which forms part of Mr. Acheampong’s outreach efforts as the NPP intensifies preparations towards the selection of its presidential candidate for the 2028 polls.
The upcoming presidential primary is seen as a crucial moment for the opposition party as it seeks to reorganise and unify its grassroots base, and position itself strongly ahead of the next general elections.
