'EOCO are a bunch of liars' - NPP's Awal Mohammed
New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Awal Mohammed has launched a blistering attack on the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), describing the agency as "a bunch of liars" over its decision to freeze the bank accounts of Dennis "Miracles" Aboagye, a member of the party’s communications team.
Speaking on Starr FM's morning show, Awal challenged EOCO to publicly disclose any evidence of wrongdoing against Aboagye.
"Tell the truth if you think he's done anything wrong," he said.
Awal also refuted claims that Miracles Aboagye accumulated his wealth after the NPP assumed office in 2017.
According to him, Miracles had already established himself professionally and in business long before joining the NPP in government.
"Miracles is not a small boy, he has a daughter in university," he said.
"Miracles did not only start work as an MCE; he was a worker before coming MCE.”
The comments come after EOCO froze Miracles Aboagye's bank accounts as part of ongoing investigations into a financial malfeasance.
