Eugene Boakye Antwi formally declares bid for NPP General Secretary position
Former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has officially announced his intention to contest for the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Boakye Antwi disclosed that he has formally informed the party’s 2028 flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, of his decision, citing encouragement from party grassroots and stakeholders as a key motivation.
According to him, the calls from the rank and file of the party played a significant role in his decision to step forward for the position.
He expressed appreciation to Dr. Bawumia for his guidance and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Boakye Antwi further indicated that his vision is to help build a more effective, disciplined, and united NPP capable of securing victory in the next polls.
He emphasised that his bid will be anchored on promoting unity within the party while supporting efforts to deliver electoral success and contribute meaningfully to national development.
