Unpaid teachers demonstrating over salary arrears
A group of unpaid teachers are embarking on a demonstration to the Ministry of Finance to present a petition over prolonged salary delays.
The teachers say they are owed between 10 and 14 months of unpaid salaries, a situation they describe as unbearable and detrimental to their livelihoods.
According to the group, the protest is aimed at drawing government’s attention to their plight and demanding immediate action to settle the arrears.
They argue that despite fulfilling their teaching responsibilities, the continued delay in payment has caused significant financial hardship, affecting their ability to meet basic needs.
The demonstrators are expected to formally present their petition to officials at the Ministry, calling for urgent intervention to resolve the issue.
