Mfantsipim values inspire excellence beyond eealth — Moses Baiden Jnr
The Ebusuapanyin of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA), Moses Kwesi Baiden Junior, has underscored the enduring values of Mfantsipim School, noting that the institution instils in students the courage to challenge limitations and pursue excellence beyond financial gain.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV’s The Point of View on Wednesday, April 15, Mr. Baiden Jnr highlighted the role of the school’s culture and strong alumni network in shaping the mindset and ambitions of students, as the institution prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
He explained that the visibility of accomplished alumni serves as a powerful source of inspiration for current students, encouraging them to aim higher and reject mediocrity.
According to him, the “spirit” of Mfantsipim extends beyond the classroom, motivating students to challenge norms and pursue meaningful achievements that are not solely driven by financial reward.
Mr. Baiden Jnr further stressed that academic excellence alone is insufficient without the development of confidence, courage, and moral strength, which he described as critical attributes for success.
He cited the late Albert Adu Boahen as an example of a distinguished alumnus whose legacy continues to inspire generations of students.
Mfantsipim School is expected to mark its 150th anniversary with a series of activities celebrating its long-standing contribution to education and leadership development in Ghana.
