Deputy Transport Minister engages investors on shipbuilding hub ambitions
The Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constiteuncy in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has held discussions with a team of investors and technical experts in shipbuilding as part of efforts to position Ghana as a key hub for shipbuilding and repairs in the sub-region.
The engagement focused on exploring opportunities to attract investment and enhance local capacity within the maritime sector, with a view to boosting industrial growth and job creation.
The Ministry of Transport has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and creating an enabling environment to support investment in the country’s maritime industry.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen Ghana’s position as a competitive player in regional maritime services.
