Gov't to strengthen private sector collaboration in health policy – Kwabena Mintah Akandoh
The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has announced that the government will deepen collaboration with the private sector in shaping and implementing health policies in the country.
He said the move forms part of efforts to improve efficiency, expand healthcare delivery, and strengthen service delivery across all regions.
Mr. Akandoh made the remarks during an interview on the Citizen Show on Accra 100.5 FM, hosted by Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah.
According to him, engaging the private sector will play a key role in addressing gaps within the health system and ensuring that policy decisions translate into practical improvements for citizens.
He emphasized that the collaboration will be guided by clear policy frameworks to ensure accountability, quality service delivery, and national interest.
Mr. Akandoh reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening the health sector through inclusive partnerships that bring together both public and private stakeholders to achieve better health outcomes for Ghanaians.
