NDC women’s wing demands apology from Ejisu MCE over alleged antagonism
The Ashanti Regional Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu to issue an unqualified apology to the party’s Regional Women’s Organiser, Gloria Huzi.
Addressing a press conference in Ejisu, the Asokwa Constituency Women’s Organiser, Regina Awuni, said failure to apologise would lead to further action.
The group accused the MCE, identified as Mrs Asante, of repeatedly antagonising Madam Huzi, including allegedly pulling down her fence wall on two occasions.
They also alleged that the MCE used abusive language against the Regional Women’s Organiser.
The Women’s Wing said it is committed to holding the MCE accountable and urged her to stop actions that could affect the reputation of Madam Huzi and the party.
Mrs Awuni called for respectful conduct and urged the MCE to address the matter promptly to maintain unity within the party.
