Dr John Jinapor: Energy Minister set to address Government Accountability Series
The Presidency Communications department has announced that Dr John Abdulai Jinapor (MP), the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, will be the featured speaker at the Government Accountability Series on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Scheduled for 2 PM, the session comes at a critical time as the nation grapples with a recent resurgence of unreliable power supply.
The current energy challenges have drawn comparisons to the widespread power outages that characterised the previous John Mahama administration, a period colloquially known for its frequent load shedding.
Dr Jinapor is expected to use this platform to address these concerns directly, providing a roadmap for restoring stability to the national grid.
As the Minister overseeing both Energy and Green Transition, he is also anticipated to provide updates on the government's strategy to balance immediate power needs with long-term goals for sustainable and renewable energy.
The session aligns with the government's broader commitment to transparency and accountability.
The public can follow the proceedings through the official social media channels of the Ghana Presidency and the Information Services Department (ISD).
