The Ghana Medical Trust Fund is intensifying efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the country by equipping health facilities with essential tools and equipment to support specialised care for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

The initiative forms part of broader interventions aimed at improving access to quality healthcare services for patients battling chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer, stroke, and other Non-Communicable Diseases.

According to the Fund, the ongoing support to health facilities is helping to enhance specialised treatment services, improve patient care, and strengthen the capacity of healthcare institutions to respond effectively to the growing burden of NCDs in Ghana.

The Administrator of the Fund, Adwoa Oboubia Darko-Opoku noted that the interventions are expected to expand access to critical healthcare services for patients whose survival and wellbeing depend on timely and specialised medical attention.

The programme also seeks to support the country’s healthcare system by improving service delivery and ensuring that more health facilities are adequately resourced to manage complex medical conditions.

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund has reiterated its commitment to supporting healthcare institutions nationwide as part of efforts to improve health outcomes and strengthen Ghana’s healthcare infrastructure.
