Joana Gyan Cudjoe unveils major infrastructure drive to transform Amenfi Central
The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has unveiled an ambitious development drive aimed at transforming communities across the constituency in the Western Region through targeted investments in healthcare, education, security, and local economic infrastructure.
The MP’s agenda, which spans 2025 and 2026, prioritises improved access to essential services while creating opportunities for growth and job creation.
In the health sector, Hon. Cudjoe is spearheading the continuation and construction of several Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds to bring quality healthcare closer to residents.
Ongoing and new projects include the continuation of the Ankwaso CHPS Compound (2025), fresh construction of CHPS facilities at Ankasie (2025), Jedua Kese (2026), Adidaase (2026), and Hiawa (2025), as well as the continuation of the Sraha Ayiem CHPS Compound (2026).
In addition, the MP has initiated the construction of a maternity block with a theatre at Manso Amenfi (2026), a project expected to significantly improve maternal and child healthcare outcomes in the constituency.
To enhance safety and law enforcement presence, Hon. Cudjoe is funding the construction of police stations at Sraha Ayiem (2026) and Achichire (2025) from her MP’s Common Fund allocation. These facilities are expected to strengthen policing efforts and improve response times across surrounding communities. Education remains a central pillar of the MP’s development strategy. Several school infrastructure projects are underway, including the continuation of the Wuratrem DA Primary School (2026) and Ankasie DA Primary School (2025).
New educational projects include:
Construction of a 6-unit primary school at Kramokrom (2025)
A 3-unit classroom block at Bantoma (2026)
A KG block at Agona Camp (2025)
A new DA KG at Takyikrom Sompre Junction (2026)
A fresh DA Primary School at Ata ne Ata (2026)
Construction of Bonsie Islamic JHS (2025)
Completion of a 3-unit classroom block JHS at Sompre (2026)
These projects aim to improve learning conditions, reduce overcrowding, and expand access to quality basic education across the constituency.
To stimulate local commerce and align with Ghana’s 24-hour economy vision, Hon. Cudjoe is constructing a 24-hour economy market at Agona Amenfi (2025) and a new market at Juabo (2026). The markets are expected to provide modern trading spaces for local vendors, enhance revenue generation, and create employment opportunities.
Through these interventions, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe is positioning Amenfi Central for sustained growth by addressing critical infrastructure gaps and improving social services.
Her comprehensive project portfolio reflects a commitment to practical, community-centred development — one that seeks not only to expand infrastructure but to improve livelihoods and enhance the overall quality of life for residents across Amenfi Central.
