AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Black Stars assemble 23-Man squad ahead of Sudan clash
The Black Stars have welcomed 23 players to camp as preparations intensify for Ghana’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan.
Among those reporting to camp are Michael Baidoo and Ibrahim Sadiq, two players who received late call-ups and arrived on Monday evening, October 7, 2024, to bolster the squad.
The national team kicked off their training camp on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium with an initial group of 11 players.
The number is, however, expected to rise further as more players arrive.
Ghana faces a two-legged showdown with Sudan, with the first match scheduled for Thursday, October 10, followed by a return fixture against Sudan five days later.
These qualifiers are crucial for Ghana’s bid to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
