GFA engages Women’s Premier League clubs ahead of 2026/27 season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has engaged Women’s Premier League clubs as part of preparations for the 2026/27 football season.

The meeting included a comprehensive review of the 2025/26 Women’s Premier League season, with club representatives given the opportunity to provide feedback on the organisation and administration of the competition.

The clubs highlighted areas where progress had been made, as well as aspects requiring further support and improvement.

Discussions also focused on preparations for the new season, with clubs encouraged to strengthen their planning, administration and overall readiness while working closely with the GFA.

The engagement provided a platform for open dialogue between the GFA and the clubs and reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to addressing concerns raised by stakeholders and improving the women’s game.

The GFA and the Women’s Premier League clubs also reaffirmed their shared commitment to improving the quality, competitiveness, visibility and commercial appeal of the competition ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The clubs expressed appreciation to the GFA, its partners and sponsors for their continued support and attention to women’s football.
