The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has credited its vigilant #EAGLEEYES initiative with preventing what could have been a high number of rejected ballots in  Volta and Ahafo regions in the upcoming December 7 elections.

According to the NDC’s Director of Elections and IT, Dr Edaward Omane Boamah early warnings issued by #EAGLEEYES over printing errors by FONSTAT on November 2 were initially dismissed by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

Despite the pushback, the NDC has continued its close monitoring, with the Director noting that the #EAGLEEYES initiative has been instrumental in identifying issues and holding the Electoral Commission accountable.

"Election is a process and not an event, so disregard the flawed notion that elections are ONLY won at the polling stations," he emphasized.

The Director also highlighted the NDC’s investments in building a skilled team with expertise in election management, which he said has demonstrated promise in safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process.

He assured that the NDC would continue monitoring the Electoral Commission and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure a fair election outcome.

In a call to action, the Director urged Ghanaians to vote for NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing his commitment to creating well-paying jobs and promoting a 24-hour economy
