GFA President Kurt Okraku passes integrity test; set to be confirmed as CAF executive committee member Mar. 12
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku can now contest for a slot on the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The clearance came after the GFA boss passed the mandatory Integrity test.
Mr Simeon-Okraku, with the full backing of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B where he has served as president since 2021, will run unopposed for the seat representing same.
"Thrilled to share that I’ve been cleared to contest for a place on the Executive Committee of CAF, after successfully passing the integrity test. Excited for what lies ahead. May God guide us through this journey," he wrote on Facebook.
At the Marriot Hotel Mena House in Cairo, Egypt, elections for a new CAF president, executive committee members, and African reps to the FIFA Council for 2025-2029, will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, during the 14th Extraordinary General Assembly of CAF.
Meanwhile, incumbent CAF President Patrice Motsepe will contest unopposed for a second term.
