Akwasi Oppong-Fosu to address industrial transformation at Ghana Female CEO Summit 2026
Board Chairman of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre(GIPC), Akwasi Opong-Fosu, is expected to join leading industry players and policymakers at the Ghana Female CEO Summit 2026 to discuss strategies for accelerating Africa’s industrial transformation.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Mr. Oppong-Fosu said he looks forward to contributing to discussions on the theme, “Leadership, Governance and Market Expansion in Africa’s Industrial Transformation.”
According to him, Africa’s ability to thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy will depend on strengthening governance systems, expanding regional markets, and positioning the continent to attract sustainable investments.
He noted that his presentation will focus on three major areas, including the importance of strong governance and policy consistency in attracting long-term investment into African economies.
Mr. Oppong-Fosu will also highlight opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area, particularly its potential to boost industrialisation, deepen intra-African trade, and expand markets across the continent.
Additionally, he is expected to advocate for stronger Public-Private Partnerships as a means of driving innovation, infrastructure development, and inclusive economic growth.
He stressed that Africa’s future resilience would not rely solely on its natural resources, but also on visionary leadership, institutional strength, and the continent’s collective ability to create value across borders.
The Ghana Female CEO Summit 2026 is expected to bring together corporate executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development stakeholders to explore leadership and business strategies aimed at advancing economic transformation in Africa
