The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Commissioner-General, Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has emphasised that achieving the country's GHS230 billion domestic revenue target in 2026 hinges on the workforce's quality, productivity, and discipline.

Speaking at the 12th National Executive Council Meeting of the Ghana Revenue Authority Workers Union (GRAWU), Mr Sarpong stressed that efficient tax administration is crucial for financing government spending, infrastructure development, and private sector growth.

He highlighted investments in staff training, leadership development, and digital infrastructure to boost revenue mobilisation and improve taxpayer services, particularly for Small and Medium Enterprises.

The GRA aims to strengthen health support systems and introduce welfare programmes for staff, including retired personnel, to enhance retention and productivity.

Mr Sarpong emphasised discipline, professionalism, and collaboration between management and the union to drive revenue growth and economic transformation.
