Sachet water prices set to increase from April 6 — NASPAWAP
The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers has announced an upward adjustment in the prices of sachet water, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.
According to the Association, the revised price guidelines are as follows:
Ex-factory price: GHS8 per bag (500ml x 30 sachets) Ex-truck price: GHS10 per bag Maximum retail price: GHS15 per bagThe new rates are recommendations issued by the national body to guide producers, distributors, and retailers.
NASPAWAP attributed the price adjustment to rising production costs, particularly due to a global shortage of polymers—key materials used in sachet packaging.
The Association noted that the situation has been worsened by ongoing geopolitical tensions, including conflict in Iran, which have disrupted supply chains and driven up prices.
Producers are urging retailers and consumers to adhere to the new pricing structure to ensure fairness and stability within the market.
The Association expressed appreciation for public understanding, noting that the adjustment is necessary to sustain operations amid increasing cost pressures.
