NIC Commissioner meets SIC Insurance MD to deepen industry collaboration

The Commissioner of Insurance,  Abiba Zakariah, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, James Agyenim-Boateng, at Nyemitei House in Accra.

The meeting formed part of the National Insurance Commission’s ongoing stakeholder engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration with industry players and gathering feedback on the growth of Ghana’s insurance sector.

Discussions focused on expanding public education and awareness of insurance products, building strategic partnerships to improve insurance penetration, enhancing public confidence in the industry, and promoting insurance as a key driver of national development.

Dr. Zakariah reaffirmed the National Insurance Commission’s commitment to fostering stronger collaboration between regulators and insurance companies to support the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng, on his part, reiterated SIC Insurance PLC’s commitment to innovation, accessibility, effective claims payment, customer satisfaction and public education on insurance services.

The two institutions also stressed the importance of deepening insurance awareness among Ghanaians and working together to build a stronger insurance culture capable of supporting economic growth and financial security.
