“A brother beyond music”: Oyokodehye Kofi hails King Ayisoba’s kindness during tough time
Multiple award-winning Highlife curator and DJ Oyokodehye Kofi has praised musician King Ayisoba for his kindness and sense of brotherhood.
He recalled a difficult period in 2008 when he was involved in a vehicular accident that left him unable to walk.
According to Oyokodehye Kofi, despite King Ayisoba’s rising fame following the success of his I Want to See You My Father song and recognition at the Ghana Music Awards, he took time out of his busy schedule to visit him, check on his condition, and offer encouragement.
“This guy is a brother, and not just a musician,” Oyokodehye Kofi said of King Ayisoba.
“It’s made me come to love him beyond music.”
He added that this experience is one of the reasons he frequently hosts King Ayisoba on his Highlife Time programme on Accra 100.5 FM.
Oyokodehye Kofi also noted that he often makes the journey to visit King Ayisoba at his home in Nsakina in Ablekuma, despite the distance and difficulty of the road.
