Controversial evangelist and founder of Heaven Way Church, Patricia Asiedua, has responded to allegations surrounding a defamation lawsuit reportedly filed against her by NGO PeaceWork Ghana.

The issue resurfaced after a video dated June 1, 2026, began circulating on social media. In the video, a representative of PeaceWork Ghana explained the circumstances that led to the legal action against the evangelist.

According to the NGO, its involvement with Agradaa began when it offered assistance to Sarah Gold, a woman who alleged that she had been defrauded after bringing gold to Agradaa's church for what was described as a spiritual blessing.

The representative further claimed that Agradaa later accused the organization of receiving money from her intended for former Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare. PeaceWork Ghana maintains that the allegation was false and formed part of the basis for the defamation suit.

Responding to the renewed public discussion, Agradaa dismissed the allegations and questioned the motives behind the circulation of the video.

> "You, who have taken me to court, in this video are making an allegation against me. Do you have evidence or proof? That one, I will leave it for my lawyers," she stated.

The evangelist also questioned why the matter, which dates back to 2024, was being discussed publicly again.

> "The case was in 2024. Why are you now coming on social media to circulate this news? It is because you can't stand the blessings God is giving me and where He is taking me," she said.

Agradaa went on to suggest that some of her critics were unhappy with her return to public life following her imprisonment.

> "You have made a big mistake by planning evil to take me to Nsawam Prison, and God has brought me back with grace and anointing, so you can't stand it," she added.

The matter remains a subject of public debate as both parties continue to defend their positions regarding the allegations and the reported lawsuit.
