Jeffrey Nortey shares story of admirer who boldly pursued him after watching his Nigerian film
Jeffrey Nortey has recounted a surprising encounter with a female admirer who boldly expressed her interest in him through a direct message following his appearance in a Nigerian movie.
Speaking in a recent interview with ghanaweb, the Ghanaian actor and comedian revealed that the woman reached out shortly after watching his performance and wasted little time in making her intentions known. According to Nortey, the admirer introduced herself before asking personal questions about his relationship status and family life.
He explained that the woman wanted to know whether he was married and if he had children, indicating that she was interested in getting to know him beyond his public persona.
Nortey said the message stood out because of how direct and confident the woman was. He disclosed that she later shared her phone number and invited him to contact her, a move he found both unexpected and amusing.
Reflecting on the experience, the actor noted that social media often creates opportunities for fans to interact with celebrities in ways that would have been difficult years ago. He added that although the message caught him off guard, he admired the courage it took for someone to openly express their feelings.
Others have praised the woman for taking the initiative instead of waiting for the actor to make the first move
