Agriculture Ministry clarifies Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Feed Ghana’ ambassadorial role
The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has clarified that the appointment of Okyeame Kwame as an ambassador for the Feed Ghana initiative is a voluntary arrangement with no financial commitment from the state.
In a statement signed by Media Liaison Officer Samuel Huntor, the Ministry explained that the artist personally offered to support the initiative by using his platform to promote its activities and encourage public participation.
According to the statement, the engagement is driven by patriotism and a shared desire to contribute to national development, rather than any form of remuneration.
The Ministry, led by Eric Opoku, emphasised that no public funds have been allocated toward the ambassadorial role.
It further welcomed similar voluntary partnerships from individuals and organisations willing to support the Feed Ghana programme, which aims to boost agricultural productivity and food security.
The clarification follows public interest in the ambassadorial appointment, with officials reiterating that the collaboration is purely in the spirit of national service.
