Black Sherif dominates 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards with 9 nominations
Ghanaian music star Black Sherif is leading the pack at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), earning nominations in a record nine categories.
All of the nominations stem from his critically acclaimed second long-play (LP), Iron Boy, which was released in April 2025.
Upon its release, tracks from the album instantly topped the charts, and a year later, several songs from the project continue to dominate airwaves and streaming platforms.
Black Sherif, who won Artiste of the Year at the 2023 TGMAs, is poised to compete for the top honours again this year, cementing his status as one of Ghana’s most dominant artists in contemporary times.
Four of the 9 nominations came via track six on Iron Boy, called Sacrifice.
