Keddi credits Sarkodie’s support for career boost, says life is getting easier
Rising rapper Keddi has expressed gratitude for the major boost in his career since rap legend Sarkodie began endorsing his music and sharing it on social media.
Sarkodie has been promoting Keddi’s work online, bringing attention to the young artiste who primarily raps in his native Ga language.
Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s Entertainment Capital, host Prince Benjamin (PB) observed that Keddi’s appearance suggested an improvement in his fortunes, with fewer worries.
Keddi confirmed this, jokingly recalling that he previously had no choice but to “walk 5 kilometres but now it's like 2 kilometres.”
“So things are getting better. We can only give thanks [to God],” he added.
The rapper noted that walking has become a choice rather than an uncomfortable necessity.
The only downside, he intimated, has been gaining weight, prompting him to join fitness groups and exercise regularly. He emphasised that staying active is important, saying exercising and keeping fit “is a must.”
Keddi said the ease in his life followed "King Sark's co-sign."
"It brought a lot of attention to me," he explained, adding that it has significantly improved call-ups for gigs and support for his music.
He also revealed he was receiving steady financial support from some unnamed benefactors.
Reflecting on tougher times in the past, he said, "Now, I get a lot of people who want to help, out of their free will."
He thanked BAM Connect and Rich Entertainment for their immense support.
Keddi had the honour of performing as an opening act for Sarkodie's iconic annual Rapperholic event in December 2025. He revealed this followed a private gathering at Sarkodie's manager Angel Town’s residence, where he was warmly welcomed.
"I was shocked at the way he was happy to see, and all that," Keddi recalled. "I was very happy."
