Kwame Nkrumah Memorial announces one-day temporary closure on December 27
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra will be closed to the general public on Saturday, 27th December 2025, the management of the Park has announced.
The temporary closure, according to a press statement issued on 10th December 2025, forms part of the Park’s internal operational arrangements, during which the facility will not be accessible to visitors.
Management is therefore urging the public, partners, and cherished patrons to take note of the date when planning their visits.
In the release, the Acting Executive Director of the Park, Dr. Collins R. Nunyonameh, explained that the one-day break is necessary to facilitate operational processes aimed at maintaining the standards for which the Park is known.
He added that regular activities at the historic facility will resume on Sunday, 28th December 2025, after the brief shutdown.
Management expressed sincere apologies for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause and appealed for the public’s understanding and cooperation.
The statement assured that the Park remains committed to offering a high-quality service experience to visitors from Ghana and around the world.
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, located in Accra, remains one of the country’s most significant heritage and tourist attractions, dedicated to preserving the legacy of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
