A/R: Firefighters contain blaze at phone shop in Kumasi, Adum
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service have contained a fire outbreak at a phone and accessories shop at Adum in the Kumasi.
The fire started at the Pat Thomas phone and accessories shop, located in a storey building housing several similar businesses. The affected shop was destroyed.
Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to adjoining shops through a prompt response.
No casualties were recorded.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. According to the Service, investigations have begun.
The Ashanti Regional Fire Commander, Peter Tetteh, confirmed that personnel are working to establish the cause of the incident.
