The Member of Parliament for Kwahu Afram Plains South, Joseph Appiah Boateng, has pledged to pursue the extension of electricity to underserved communities and improve telecommunications network connectivity across the constituency.

He said engagements were ongoing with relevant institutions to connect communities without electricity to the national grid.

He also said efforts were being made to improve network coverage in areas where residents continue to face connectivity challenges.

According to Mr Appiah Boateng, improved electricity and telecommunications services would have a direct impact on education, healthcare delivery, communication and economic activities in the Afram Plains.

The MP also touted the development record of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the district.

He claimed that the party was the only political administration that had consistently delivered significant development projects to the area.

“If you look at the major development projects that have come to Afram Plains South, you will see the hand of the NDC. We believe in bringing development to the people, and we will continue to work to deliver more for our constituents.”
