Armed robbers attack Berekum Chelsea team bus on Gorso road
Players of Berekum Chelsea FC were attacked by armed robbers at Ayeresu while travelling along the Gorso road.
According to reports, the team’s bus was forced to stop after the road was blocked by the attackers between Bibiani and a nearby town known as “B-Town.”
When the driver attempted to reverse, the robbers reportedly advanced towards the vehicle, firing gunshots.
Several players were forced to flee into nearby bushes to escape.
The incident was shared on Facebook by veteran sports journalist Michael Oti Adjei, who also tagged the Ghana Police Service.
The police service has not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
