Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah takes command of IGP Special Operations Team
A formal handing-over ceremony was held at the National Police Training School in Accra yesterday, marking a change in leadership of the IGP Special Operations Team.
The outgoing commander, DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil, officially transferred command to Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah, who will be supported by three senior officers in leading the elite unit.
In his farewell remarks, DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil urged all personnel to fully cooperate with the new leadership to ensure continuity and maintain operational effectiveness.
Superintendent Augustine Dawson Amoah, in his acceptance speech, pledged to lead with dedication and called on the team to uphold unity, discipline, and professionalism in the execution of their duties.
The leadership transition underscores the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to strengthening operational efficiency and enhancing the effectiveness of its Special Operations Team.
