Asantehene marks 27th anniversary, honours national figures and mining executive Angela List
The Manhyia Palace came alive with ceremony and symbolism on Friday, April 24, 2026, as Otumfuo Osei Tutu II marked his 27th enstoolment anniversary with a high-profile event celebrating peace, leadership, and national development.
Held at the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall under the theme “Advancing Peace & Sustainable Economic Development Through Royal Vision,” the occasion brought together political leaders, diplomats, and business executives from across the country.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of commemorative gold coins to distinguished personalities, including Angela List, Chief Executive of Adamus Resources Limited, in recognition of her contributions to Ghana’s mining sector.
Other recipients included President John Dramani Mahama and former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who were honoured for their roles in promoting stability and national progress.
Speaking after the ceremony, Madam List expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as both humbling and motivating.
“This recognition shows that our efforts are being noticed.
It will encourage us to do more,” she said, dedicating the honour to her team at Adamus Resources.
Her recognition comes months after she was named Africa’s Most Outstanding Woman in Mining at an awards ceremony in Côte d’Ivoire, further underscoring her growing influence in the sector.
