CLOGSAG declares nationwide strike effective March 9
The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has announced a nationwide strike action for its members beginning Monday, 9 March 2026, citing unresolved issues with authorities.
In a notice issued to members, the association said its National Executive Council (NEC) had earlier, on 19 February 2026, served notice of the intended industrial action.
According to the statement, discussions to address the concerns raised by the union have not yielded a resolution.
As a result, CLOGSAG has directed all staff within the Civil Service and Local Government Service to stay at home starting March 9 until further notice.
The directive was contained in a statement signed by Isaac Bampoe Addo, Executive Secretary of the Association.
The impending strike is expected to affect administrative services across ministries, departments, agencies, and local government offices nationwide if the dispute remains unresolved.
