The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), in partnership with the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, has commissioned a new ultra-modern service centre in Kasoa.

The Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) in charge of Services, Foster Akwesi Asante, said the facility is aimed at bringing DVLA services closer to residents and reducing the need for long-distance travel for vehicle registration and document renewal.

He noted that the difficulty in accessing DVLA offices has contributed to the activities of middlemen, popularly known as “goro boys,” who exploit drivers.

According to him, the new centre is expected to streamline service delivery and reduce such practices.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryo Okunor, urged drivers in Kasoa and nearby areas to use the facility and avoid dealing with unauthorised agents.

She also announced that Kasoa now has its own registered vehicle number plate prefix, “KS,” describing it as a milestone for the municipality.

The Kasoa Ultra Centre is expected to improve efficiency in service delivery and protect motorists from exploitation.
