GMTFcare rollout begins at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to transform patient care
A major milestone has been reached in efforts to transform healthcare delivery in Ghana, as specialist training on onboarding patients onto the GMTFcare software begins at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
The training marks a significant step forward for the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) in its mission to deliver seamless, patient-centred healthcare support.
Leading the exercise is the Fund’s Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, who is on-site with her team to ensure a smooth and effective rollout.
Alongside the training, IT specialists are actively installing and integrating systems to support efficient patient data capture, claims verification, and the timely delivery of care.
Beyond the technical implementation, this phase represents a critical foundation for a transformative healthcare system aimed at improving the lives of patients living with chronic Non-Communicable Diseases across the country.
By prioritising accessibility, dignity, and efficiency, the initiative signals a new chapter in Ghana’s healthcare landscape.
With implementation now underway, the vision of a more responsive and inclusive healthcare system is steadily becoming a reality—setting the stage for a historic advancement in patient care.
