Defence Ministry holds management retreat to boost performance and strategy
The Ministry of Defence Ghana has commenced a two-day management retreat aimed at strengthening its strategic direction and improving institutional performance.
The retreat, being held at the Ministry, is chaired by the Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi.
Addressing participants at the opening session, Mr. Genfi said the retreat provides an opportunity for management to step away from routine operational demands to reflect on performance, review progress and outline a clear strategic path for the Ministry.
He noted that the exercise will focus on identifying operational bottlenecks, assessing potential risks, addressing capacity gaps and agreeing on practical, time-bound measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
According to him, key discussions will cover critical areas including administration, human resource management, infrastructure and engineering projects, financial management and defence planning.
At the end of the retreat, management is expected to outline major challenges confronting the Ministry and propose actionable solutions to strengthen operations and support national security delivery.
