GA/R: 2 dead after helicopter crashes at school park in Tema C1
At least two people are feared dead after a helicopter crashed at the Oninku Drive School Park in Tema Community Oneon Monday, March 16, 2026.
The helicopter reportedly plunged from the sky before crashing at the park, triggering a swift response from emergency services.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service rushed to the scene to extinguish flames at the crash site, while officers from the Ghana Police Service assisted with security and rescue operations.
Emergency responders were able to retrieve the charred bodies of three victims believed to have been on board the aircraft.
Assemblyman for the Kwesi Plange Electoral Area, Ahmed Abdullia, confirmed that no students were injured in the incident.
Authorities are yet to provide further details on the cause of the crash.
