Gomoa East MP distributes 1,500 bags of cement to support community projects
The Member of Parliament for Gomoa East, Desmond De-Graft Paitoo, has donated 1,500 bags of cement to support ongoing community development projects across the district.
The initiative is aimed at accelerating the completion of critical infrastructure, including toilet facilities, church buildings, and community centres, all of which are expected to significantly improve living conditions for residents.
This latest intervention follows an earlier donation of 700 bags of cement by the MP, which was used to support the construction of drainage systems, police stations, and educational facilities within the constituency.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Paitoo urged beneficiaries to ensure the cement is used for its intended purposes. He noted that the responsible use of the materials would encourage him to extend further support to other community projects.
Beneficiaries, in response, expressed their appreciation for the gesture and pledged to utilise the cement effectively to complete their respective projects.
Beyond infrastructure support, the MP has also been actively involved in humanitarian efforts, particularly in providing relief to communities affected by flooding. Additionally, he recently cut sod for the construction of a three-unit Junior High School classroom block, a project expected to enhance access to quality education in the area.
The continued interventions form part of Mr. Paitoo’s broader commitment to driving development and improving the welfare of constituents in Gomoa East.
